Alphabet Applied

This is the last project for graphic design, we had to create an alphabet and then use it based on what we made the alphabet out of. I made my alphabet from purse designs, so naturally I created a show case window to exploit my purses and new font. :)

Cracked

The illustration friday is cracked. The very first thing I thought of when I saw this, was a cracked mirror, which although is not a good thing, I really like how it turned out because the cracked sections of the mirror often turn out to be unique and almost pretty.

Parade

This is my updated version of parade. I didn't think my first illustration was up to par so I made this one which has more personal meaning because every thanksgiving it is tradition to watch the thanksgiving day parade. My mom always said that she remembered watching it on her old little tv when she was younger, and so now I watch it as well. :)

Hierarchy

This week's word was hierarchy. I tried experimenting with photoshop's techniques with this illustration in order to show that although there are many animals in the world, the lion remains the king.

Theater

For my iFriday, I created a collage of everything that reminds me of a theater; a movie theater, in particular.

Impossibility

The word for the week is impossibility. My original idea was to do life on other planets, but due to a faulty scanner I chose to do this one instead. This shows impossibility because although cows can climb up stairs, they can not come down.

Rebus

Fleeting

The word for I Friday was fleeting. I did not know what this word meant at all so I looked it  up on dictionary.com which said that fleeting is vanishing quickly. In my illustration, I showed birds leaving the nest as fleeting because although their parents look after them for so long, once they are ready they vanish quickly in the distance.

Subtract

If junk food, fast food, soda, and sweets were subtracted from our diet, many Americans and people around the world would not be considered overweight.

Pen Tool Portrait

For this project, we had to re create ourselves by looking at a photo of ourself using several different layers including pen tool, color, and texture.
